Electrodialysis Reversal (EDR)

Electrodialysis Reversal

Technical Description

Electrodialysis Reversal (EDR) uses a selective film to separate through DC power. It can effectively remove or concentrate the ions in the water, and greatly reduce the frequency of regeneration cleaning and medication.

Because EDR can adjust the frequency of the conversion of the electrode according to the water quality characteristics, it can reduce the risk of scaling and extend the service life of the film.

Different salinity mechanism of RO and EDR.

EDR can tolerate the water quality of SDI 15, and it is simpler economy with previous processing units.

Applications

Recycling industrial water.
Seawater dilute.
High salt water dehydration.
Well water dehydration.

Advantages

  • Low operating cost.
  • SIO₂ will not cause EDR film scaling.
  • EDR has more loose water inlet conditions and high tolerance than RO.
